Mary Sue Mckenney Kendrix

Ms. Mary Sue McKenney Kendrix, 61, of Swainsboro passed away Monday morning, October 22, 2018 at the University Hospital following an extended illness.

Ms. Kendrix was born on June 18, 1957 in Oak Park, Ga. to the late Charlie McKenney, Sr. and Carrie Lee Webb. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Billy Ray Kendrix; sister, Pat Jones.

Survivors include her sons, Tony Sherrod of Graniteville, SC, Timothy Sherrod of Summertown, John Henry (Chantal) Sherrod of Augusta and Marcus (Meghann) Sherrod of Metter; daughter, Shanna Sherrod (Chike Ezekwueche) of Augusta; brothers, Mike McKenney, Carl McKenney, and Dewayne (Karen) McKenney; sisters, Vickie (Levi) Mosley, Jeanette Sherrod and Loretta Brown; god daughter, Mary Shanay Carswell; 15 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at Gethsemane Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2018 with Rev. Daniel Woodson officiating.

Interment will be in the Eternal Glory Gardens Cemetery in Vidalia, Georgia.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday October 23, 2018 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Michael Sherrod, Jeffery Sherrod, Ricky Sherrod, Cornelius Williams, Kurtis Smith

and Henry Woods.
