Melissa Evon Doyle

Ms. Melissa Evon Doyle, 67, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025, at PruittHealth Evans.

Ms. Doyle was born in Swainsboro on January 29, 1958, to the late Johnnie Louis Doyle and Emma Daisy Williams Doyle. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Edith Phillips; nephews, Chico Washington, Willie Phillips, Steven Wiggs.

Melissa is survived by her sisters, Regenia Doyle Harvey (Lamar) of North Augusta, SC, Amanda Washington of Swainsboro, Daisey Wiggs of Los Angeles, CA; nieces, Barbara Estes (Michael), Wynnie Phillips, Robbin Strobridge all of Augusta, Sheryl Phillips of Houston, TX, Felcia Wiggs of New York, NY, Shawneki Ricks of Swainsboro, Nyesha Booker Harvey of Smyrna; nephews, Henry Washington, Jr., Ricky Washington (Larinda), Sergio Washington, Robert Phillips all of Swainsboro, Aaron Harvey of Brooksville, FL.; aunts, Adline Thomas of Conyers, GA, Carrie Kitchens of Elkins Park, PA; special friends, Carolyn Daniels, Audrey Riggins, Edward Shedrick all of Swainsboro; priceless friend/cousin, Netta Williams Davis of Swainsboro.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Chapman Funeral Home

Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating assisted by Mrs. Cleo Heflin.

Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Tony Brown, Robert Phillips, Hosea Wynn, Jr., Henry Washington, Jr., Ricky Washington and Sergio Washington.

Honorary Pallbearers are Swainsboro High School Class of 1975.
