Mittie McKinney Smith

Mrs. Mittie M. Smith, 70, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, March 2, 2026, at Memorial Health in Savannah. She was born on May 17, 1955, in Macon to the late Edward G McKinney and Myrtle Faye Lumpkin McKinney. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bunkie Campbell, Joy McKinney;

niece, Mallory Baldschun.

Survivors include her husband, Joel Thomas Smith of Swainsboro; son, Shep Caldwell (Shannan) of Beaufort, SC; daughter, Amanda Reynolds (Matt) of Swainsboro; brothers, Bobby McKinney (Wendy) of Ruston, WA, Donny McKinney (Kathleen) of Macon; sister, Sandee Tebcay; grandchildren, Hoage Reynolds, Robeert Edward Reynolds, Marion Faye Caldwell; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
