Mrs. Myrle Hendrix Deal, 88, of Twin City passed away Sunday, April 28, 2013 at her residence following a brief illness.
Mrs. Deal was born in Bulloch County to the late Charlie C.H. Hendrix and Essie Cowart Hendrix. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Emory Deal and George Clifton; son, Mike Clifton; sisters, Edna Saunders and Kathleen Blackburn; brothers, Frank Hendrix, Buford Hendrix, Cecil Hendrix, Carol Hendrix and Earl Hendrix. Mrs. Deal’s hobbies were fishing and gardening. She was a member of Emit Grove Baptist Church in Statesboro.
Survivors include her daughter, Marsha Clifton of Twin City; sons, Ricky (Brenda) Clifton and Kenny (Julie) Clifton both of Twin City; sisters, Mildred Boatwright and Christine Gay both of Garfield; brother, Robert Hendrix of Portal; 9 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 11 o’clock Wednesday, morning May 1, 2013 with Reverend Tim Huffingham officiating. Burial will be in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ben Gay, Harry Gay, Dale Smith, Larry Saunders, Johnny Boatwright, David Mills, Chris Clifton, Jeremy Clifton.
