Mrs. Nancy F. Stevens, 81, of Adrian passed away Sunday, August 9, 2026, at Emanuel Medical Center. She was born on September 19, 1944, in McKenzie, Tennessee to the late Robert Stafford and Marietta Smith Palmer.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Rosco Palmer; husband, Leonard Stevens; grandson, Jeremy Braswell.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who cherished the simple things in life. Nancy had a special love for NASCAR, fishing, and enjoying fresh tomatoes. She also enjoyed searching for treasures at antique shops and yard sales, always finding joy in the little things.
Above all, Nancy loved her family and friends dearly. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she treasured the time she spent surrounded by those she loved. Nancy was a member of Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church in Norristown. She will be remembered for her kind heart, warm spirit, and the love she so freely shared with others. Nancy leaves behind many wonderful memories that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sons, Chris Braswell of Milledgeville, Barry Braswell of Adrian; daughter, Tammy Chalker of Adrian; grandson, Jared Chalker of Swainsboro; great-grandson, Braiden Chalker of Dublin; brothers, Richard Palmer and Ronald Palmer (Ellen), both of Adrian; special additional granddaughters, Josie Lutz and Chloe Lutz.
Graveside Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Steve McNure officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church, 10 Mt. Zion Church Road, Adrian, GA 31002.
