Mrs. Nellie Joyce Moore, 72, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday night, April 20, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Moore was born August 25, 1943 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Fred Marsh and Elyce Rachels Marsh. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, David Harrison Smith; daughter, Patricia Ann Smith; grandchildren, Robin Myers, Jody Myers, and Robert Conley. Mrs. Moore loved fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, Lamar Moore of Swainsboro; sons, David Smith of Swainsboro, Randy Moore of Cobbtown, Dean (Tina) Moore of Swainsboro, Tony (Christy) Moore of Swainsboro; daughters, Julia (Randall) Atkinson of Swainsboro, Brenda (Lonnie) Conley of Swainsboro, Ollie (Franklin) Stevens of Swainsboro, Linda (Randy) Forehand of Swainsboro, Nellie (Randall) Green of Satsuma, Fl.; brothers, Robert (Cindy) Marsh of Swainsboro, Gerald (Alice) Marsh of Swainsboro; sisters, Florine Rich of Swainsboro, Molly McNeely of Swainsboro; 18 grandchildren; several Great-Grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 3:00 P.M. Saturday afternoon, April 23, 2016 with Reverend Burt Flanders officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6pm. to 8pm. Friday afternoon, April 22, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
