Mr. Nelson Eugene Hadden, 75, of Adrian died early Friday morning, August 9, 2013 at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta following an extended illness.

Mr. Hadden was born in Avera Georgia and a life long residence of Emanuel County.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey E. Hadden and Beulah Mae Usry Hadden; brother, Billy Hadden; sister, Shelby Kennedy.  He loved hunting, fishing and eating Maryland Fried Chicken.  Mr. Hadden was a veteran of the United States Army.

Survivors include his sons, Ricky (Linda) Hadden and Travis (Lisa) Hadden both of Adrian; daughters, Kay (Hank) Kennedy of Swainsboro and Misty Hadden (Gene Thompson) of Adrian; brother, Dennis Hadden of Myrtle Beach SC; 9 grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2:00 o’clock Sunday afternoon, August 11, 2013 with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.  Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2013 at Chapman Funeral Home and at the residence of Kay and Hank Kennedy, 41 Trout Trail, Swainsboro.

The family request in lieu of flowers memorials be made in memory of Mr. Nelson Eugene Hadden, 427 North Main, Swainsboro, GA 30401.

Pallbearers are Blake Thompson, Matt Kennedy, Blake Rewis, Ricky Durden, Stacey McClendon and T. J. Grant.
