Ola Mae (Brown) Lindsey

Mrs. Ola Mae Brown Lindsey, 83, of Sandersville passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at Washington County Regional Medical Center in Sandersville following an extended illness.

Mrs. Lindsey was born May 2, 1939, in Sandersville to Robert Jennings Brown and Sara Frances Page Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 39 years, Harold Lee Lindsey; daughter, Tracie Renee Lindsey; sisters, Martha Brown Mimbs and Dorothy Jean Brown Wilder. Mrs. Lindsey was a retired teacher for Washington County Head Start, where she dedicated 33 years to teaching three generations of young minds. She loved fishing, reading, and spending time with her great-grandbabies. Mrs. Lindsey was a member of Davisboro Baptist Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories her son, Harold Dean Lindsey (Shirl); daughters, Cynthia Dewonia Johnston (Buddy), Teresa Elaine Blount (Curtis); 11 grandchildren and 24 greatgrandchildren.

Graveside Service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, in Tennille Zeta Cemetery.

The family will gather at the Blount residence, 14399 GA Hwy 24 West, Sandersville, Georgia 31082.
