Mr. Otis C. Lamb, 91, of Cobbtown died Monday, March 07, 2011 in Pleasant View Nursing Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Lamb was born in Emanuel County and was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Sally Way Lamb; brothers, Horace and Ray Lamb; sisters, Ruth Brown, Johnnie Wells, and Rosa Blackman. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and was a retired Carpenter and Hairdresser.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Jeanette P. Lamb; a son, Daniel Gilbert Powell, Athens; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, March 9, with the Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating. Burial will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at Chapman Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Sunlight Cemetery Fund, Cobbtown, GA.
