Pastor Donnie Bush

Pastor Donnie Bush 77, of Adrian passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at Dublinair Health Care & Rehab Center  following an extended illness.

Pastor Bush was born February 13, 1944, in Adrian to the late Jesse Everett Bush and Mary Alene Henry Bush.  He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Donald Allen Bush; infant sister.   He grew up on the Ashmore Farm near Norristown, GA and graduated from Adrian High School in 1962.  He was a member of the Georgia National Guard from 1966 – 1971.  He married the love of his life, Kay Sapp Bush on September 11, 1971 and they were married for 49 years and had 3 children.  Donnie worked as a printer at Tyson’s Print Shop for 30 years and also worked as a printer, custodian, groundskeeper, and food service worker for the Emanuel County Board of Education. He founded and pastored Trinity Baptist Church in Meeks, Georgia from 1976 to 2015. He was a little league baseball coach in Adrian and Boy Scout leader for troop 75 for several years. He was also a member of the Swainsboro Masonic Lodge 244. Donnie passed from this life on June 11, 2021. He leaves behind friends and a loving family with many memories of love and laughter.

Survivors include his wife, Kay Bush of Adrian; son, Jess David (Connie) Bush of Adrian; daughter, Teresa Robin (Christopher) Artz of Adrian; grandchildren, Tucker Jake Bush, Taylor Jessalyn Bush, MaKylan Aidan Bush, Christopher Gage Artz; niece, Allie (Jimmy) Sigmon of Adrian; great nephew, Abel Sigmon; sister-in-law, Linda Newman of Adrian; many friends.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2021, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor Stewart Broderick and Pastor Allen Green officiating.

Interment will follow at Lamb Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, June 14, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Ricky Jackson, Ashley Page, Jeremy Page, Jason Page, Tony Hutcheson, and Todd Bush.

Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Jenkins, Randall Love, Wayne Page, Ralph Page, Stevie Page, Mack Page, and Benny Fortner.
