Ms. Patricia Ann Young, 65, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, August 5, 2021, at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Young was born November 1, 1955, in Swainsboro to John Thomas Carlyle and Essie Mae Washington Carlyle. She was preceded in death by her father; son; Antione Allen Carlyle. Mrs. Young graduated with the class of 1977 of Swainsboro High School, and then she attended Southeastern Technical College. From their she obtained her license to become a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). She began working at Swainsboro Nursing Home, Emanuel County Hospital, and Pulaski Nursing Home. She was a member of the former Davis Chapel Holiness Church now Temple of Grace Holiness Church under the leadership of the late Bishope Mary S. McKinnon. During a yearly revival through the preaching of the late Apostle Allen Jackson know by many during that time as Evangelist Allen Jackson. She got saved and filled with the Holy Ghost, and then got baptized in Jesus’ name under her then leader Bishop Hilda D. Rolle of the Gospel of Light Deliverance Center. As a member of Davis Chapel/Temple of Grace now under the leadership of Apostle Linda S. Travett, she served as a choir member, an usher, Armor Bearer, and a devotional leader, whatever her hands found to do she did it. She was a loyal member. Mrs. Young then moved her membership to Solid Rock T.H.A.F. under the leadership of Chief Apostle David L. Durpree Jr. D.D. as a member of Solid rock she served fatefully as an Usher, Choir Member, and elevated to the office Assistant National Mother. She was a loyal member to Solid Rock T.H.A.F. until her transition to her new home in Glory. Mother Patricia Ann Carlyle Young was a mother to all if you needed anything and she had it, she would give you her last. Mother Young loved and she loved with everything in her, she will be missed and cherished dearly.

Survivors include her mother, Essie Mae Washington Carlyle of Swainsboro; sons, Frederico A. Carlyle of Livingston California and Terence B. Carlyle (LaShanda) of Stillmore, Codean Ja’Leil “Cody” Carswell; daughter, Nedra T. Carlyle Kirkland of Swainsboro; husband, Harold Young of 23 years; brother, Jason Mitchell Carlyle of Swainsboro; sisters, Wylene Carlyle of Washington D.C., Sabrina Michell Carlyle of Swainsboro, Nichola Evett (David) Robinson of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Nicolas D. Carlyle, Dondrea N. Kirkland, Darien R. Kirkland, Donte K. Kirkland, Vaniah Carlyle, Alexandria Carlyle, Frederico Carlyle Jr., Branasha Carlyle, Zachariah Carlyle, LaMyraa Caryle, JaNiyaa Carlyle, Jasmine Carlyle, Shelia Carlyle, Nariah Carlyle, Terence Carlyle Jr., Antoine Carlyle Jr.; great-granddaughter, Kinslee Brinson, a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 12 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Swainsboro City Auditorium with David L. Dupree Jr. officiating.

Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, August 13, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Grandsons.
