Mrs. Patricia “Patsy” Ann Short, 86, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday night, October 1, 2017 at Emanuel Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mrs. Short was born March 3, 1931 in West Palm Beach, FL. to the late Frank Lewis and Nancy Lewis. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herman Short; sons, Jack Edward Short, and Robert Lewis Short. Mrs. Short worked at the Record Hop in the Nancy Auditorium for her mother, and retired from the Emanuel County School System as a Dietitian. She loved watching Fox News. Mrs. Short was a member of Eastwood Church of God.
Survivors include her son, Bill Short of Swainsboro; granddaughter, Harli Cheyenne Moore (Mark) of Swainsboro; great-granddaughter, Abigail Tracy Moore of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at Eastwood Church of God 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 4, 2017 with Reverend Bruce Flowers officiating. Mrs. Short will lie in state one hour prior to service.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Timmy Bell, Mark Moore, Hugh Wren, Joel Mimbs, Johnny Hadden, and Tommy Hadden.
