Pauline (Coleman) Flanders

Mrs. Pauline C. Flanders, 66, of Kite passed away Thursday, January 8, 2020 at AU Medical Center in Augusta following a brief illness.

Mrs. Flanders was born April 15, 1953 in Swainsboro to the late Estus Coleman and Annie Bell Jones Coleman.    She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Darrell Flanders; brothers, Junior Coleman, Ralph Coleman, Buddy Hackle; sisters, Peggy Fitch, Robbie Hall, Myrtice Jackson, Elizabeth Avery. Pauline was a devoted wife and loving mother.  She loved spending time with family; especially her grandchildren.   Pauline’s grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She loved cooking and making flower arrangements for everybody. Pauline was a devout Christian. She stood by her husband’s side for 51 years. As a pastor’s wife she believed in helping others and supported her husband’s ministry in many ways.  She loved many and was loved by many.  Her family is heartbroken, and she will be missed tremendously by everybody that knew her. Mrs. Flanders was a member of Springhill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Rev. Bert Flanders of Kite; sons, Kevin Flanders of Kite, Brian (Joni) Flanders of Garfield; daughter, Cindy (Robert) Cochran of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Caleb Flanders, Josh Flanders, Madison Flanders, Jacob Flanders, Matti Cochran, Cali Flanders, Abigail Flanders, Sofia Flanders, Dane Cochran, Damon Cochran, David Durden, Natasha Anderson, Jessica Lawrence; great-grandchildren, Aaron Cochran, Andrew Cochran, JaMyra Shivers, Kade Durden, Gracie Durden; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 11, 2020 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Kersey and Rev. Joe Bedgood officiating.

Interment will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Friday, January 10, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Caleb Flanders, Jacob Flanders, Josh Flanders, Donnie Robertson, Wayne Kersey and Lee Flanders.
