May 22, 1964 — July 14, 2012

Mrs. Peggy W. Collins, 48, of Garfield died Saturday night, July 14, 2012 at St. Joseph/Candler Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness.

Mrs. Collins was born in Millen but a life long residence of Emanuel County.  She was preceded in death by her father William C. “Dallas” Waters; and nephew, Jameson Fulmer.  Mrs. Collins loved sewing, spending time with her family and visiting her grandchildren.  She was a member of the Twin City Church of God.

Survivors include her son, Michael (Breanna) Collins of Garfield; daughter, Kristy (Tim) Clements of Collins; mother, Lorene Waters of Statesboro; brother, Wayne Waters of Twin City; sisters, Patricia Waters of Twin City, Brenda (Keanan) Bradley of Royston and Loree (Robert) Lanier of Portal; grandchildren, Chasity Johnson, Hailey Johnson, Noah Johnson, Abby Collins and Dallas Collins; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 10:00 o’clock Wednesday morning, July 18, 2012 with Reverend Ernest Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in the Old Canoochee Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Collins, Steven Cowart, Johnny Rowe, Robert Lucas, Stanley Lucas, Race Weathersby, Patrick Grey and Dylan Fulmer.
