Robert Arthur Gross, Sr.

Mr. Robert Arthur Gross, Sr., 76, of Swainsboro, GA. passed away Thursday, March 28, 2019 at East Ga. Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

Mr. Gross was born in Dunkirk, New York November 20, 1942 to the late Lawrence Gross and Nellie May Shaddick Gross. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Nancy Pierce; brothers, Lawrence Gross, Jr. and Harold Gross. Mr. Gross enjoyed fishing, farming, and doing wood work. He loved spending time with his family and giving out hugs. Mr. Gross was a member of Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joan C. Gross of Swainsboro; sons, Robert A. Gross, Jr. of Meherrin, VA., Ronald A. Gross of Florida, and Douglas Gross (Karen) of Titusville, FL.; daughters, Sarah Stout (James) of Virginia Beach, VA., Nellie Simmons of Farmville, VA., Bridget Duann of Pueblo, CO., Robin Weber (Mark) of Swainsboro, Pam Voss of PA., Patricia Keemon (Larry) of Titusville, FL., and Debbie Gross Of New Smyrna Beach, FL.; sisters, Beverly Wade of Atlanta, and Ellen George of Farnham, NY.; 25 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 2 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 with Pastor Tommy Henry officiating.

Interment will be at Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Eric Weber, Eric Stout, Chris Gross, Larenzo Simmons, Joey Gross, Ronald A. Gross, Jr., and Steven Gross.
