Rod Johnson

Mr. Rod Johnson, 52, of Midville passed away Monday, January 24, 2022, at St. Joseph’s/Candler Hospital in Savannah following an extended illness.

Mr. Johnson was born February 24, 1969, in Swainsboro to Michael Johnson and Gail Claxton Johnson. He was preceded in death by his father; paternal grandparents, Marvin Johnson, Mary Laura Palmer; maternal grandparents, Clifford Claxton, Juanita Claxton. Mr. Johnson loved talking on his CB radio, under the call name “Hot Rod”. He was an avid fox hunter and loved his dogs and going to horse shows.

Survivors include his mother, Gail Johnson of Midville; brother, Brett Johnson of Midville; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in honor of his father, Michael Johnson.
