Mrs. Ronda Kay Chalker, 52, of Dublin died Monday, August 29, 2011 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Chalker was born in Macon but lived in Dublin. She was preceded in death by her parents James Levi Woodard and Pinky Lee Geames; husband, Jimmy Lee (Shoestrang) Chalker. Mrs. Chalker was employed with Southern Family Markets in Dublin were she worked in retail. She was a member of the Dublin Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her daughters, Nicole Woodard and Tina (Ray) McDaniel; sons, Jamey (Jenni) Chalker, Jeramie (Corrine) Chalker, and William Petty; sisters, Diane King, Sonya Ward, and Lynn McTier; brothers, Levi Woodard, Jack Thigpen, Raymond Woodard, Ricky Scott, and Robert Roberson; foster parents, Frank and Gerri McCrackin; 10 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Friday, September 2, with the Reverend Mark Hardin. Burial will be in the Bithynia Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Chapman Funeral Home and at residence of Jamey and Jenni Chalker 593 Wendell Hooks Rd. Swainsboro, GA 30401.
Pallbearers will be Ray McDaniel, Marcus McTier, Jonathan Register, Jack Thigpen, Kevin Moore, and William Petty.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bobby Forzetting, Billy Mullis and employees of the Southern Family Markets.
