Rosella B. Anthony

Mrs. Rosella B. Anthony, 68, of Lyons passed away Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Meadows Park Health & Rehab in Vidalia. She was born on April 28, 1958, in Vidalia to the late Willie James Bennett, Sr. and Lillie Mae Young Bennett. Mrs. Rosella was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Shirley Bennett, Alberta Bennett; brothers, Willie James Bennett, Andrew Bennett; grandson, DeAndrea Anthony.

Rosella Anthony was a loving and devoted woman whose greatest joy in life was her family. She attended Mt. Chapel Baptist Church and was a dedicated employee of Oxford Industrial, where she worked for over 20 years.

Rosella especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, making memories that they will carry with them for years to come. She also loved playing card games and sharing laughter and good times with those around her. Above all, the love Rosella had for her family was indescribable. Her family meant everything to her, and she cherished every moment she was able to spend with them.

Rosella will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, the memories she created, and the special place she held in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clifford “Bill” Anthony; sons, Clifford Anthony, Jr. (Darlene), Tony Bennett (Mia), Michael Anthony, Tyrone Anthony (Kaiwanya); daughters, Jeanette Hardwick (Joe), Rena Anthony, Mary Ann Anthony, Veronica Anthony (Will); brother, Jessie Bennett; sisters, Bobbie Kent, Gail McKinney (Charlie), Carolyn Floyd (Timmy), Jacqueline Anthony (Phil); 24 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 5, 2026, at First African Baptist Church of Vidalia with Reverend Johnny Samson.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 4, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will be at White’s Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Michael Anthony, Daedric Anthony, Edwin Bennett, Jeffery Bennett, Charlie McKinney, and Alfreddie Bennett.
