Mr. Roy Lively, 71, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday morning, January 25, 2017 at Augusta University following an extended illness.
Mr. Lively was born September 26, 1945 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Caleb Lively and Maxine Smith Lively. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rita Lively; sisters, Betty Parker, Ruth Rich, Christine Lamb, Annie Reddig, and Edna Gragg. Mr. Lively owned and operated Lively Painting until 1997. He was an avid golfer, and loved watching the braves, falcons, and Miami Hurricanes. Mr. Lively was a member of Freewill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his companion, Janice Lively of Swainsboro; sons, Jimmy Lively (Lisa) of Loganville, Tom Lively of Gulf Port, FL., Billy Lively (Mandy) of Swainsboro, and John Roy Lively (Kristie) of Stillmore; daughter, Kim Henry (Destry) of Dublin; brothers, Jim “Buddy” Lively (Mina) of Grovetown, Howard “Bo” Lively (Faye) of Villa Rica; grandchildren, Zack Lively, Tori Lively, Charlie Henry, Briana Henry, Jarett Henry, Maci Lively, Jakob Lively, Lenox Lively, and Sydney Lively; great-grandchildren, Presleigh Wasendorf, Cash Lively ; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Services will be private and at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 5 pm. to 7 pm. Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Chapman Funeral Home.
