Mr. Owens was born November 20, 1952 in Millen to the late Henry Owens and Margie Rabitsch Owens. He was preceded in death by his parents; several brothers and sisters. Mr. Owens owned and operated Dixie Oil Company in Millen. He loved playing and writing music, watching the Atlanta Braves, John Wayne movies, and Gunsmoke. Mr. Owens was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his sons, Michael Owens and Daniel Owens, both of Atlanta; nephews, Ronnie (Jo Ann) Heath of Midville, Tommy (Diana) Heath of Millen, Danny (Michelle) Willis, Dewayne (Christin) Owens, Brad (Allison) Willis, all of Sylvania; nieces, Holly McCoy of Dublin, Rosemary McCoy of Swainsboro; and many friends.
Graveside Service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020, 11:30 a.m. at Millen City Cemetery with Cameron Kennison officiating.
The family will receive friends Saturday, June 20, 2020 from 11 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Millen City Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Ronnie Heath, Tommy Heath, Danny Willis, Dewayne Owens, Brad Willis, and Timmy Owens.
