Mr. Russell Edward Campbell, 82, of Kite passed away Monday morning, October 26, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Campbell was born September 14, 1933 in Lewisport Kentucky to the late Orville Campbell and Hazel Early Campbell. He was preceded in death by his sons, Gregory Allan Campbell and Michael Todd Campbell; brothers, Orville Campbell, Jr. and Robert Donald Campbell; sister, Betty Baker. Mr. Campbell retired from Automatic Sprinkler after 24 years of service and Aircraft after 17 years of service. He was a provider for his family. Mr. Campbell was a member of Lake Luck Civic Club and a member of Chestnut Grove in Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years Belva Dois Campbell of Kite; Son, Jeff Campbell of Indianapolis, IN.; Daughters, Judith Gayle Whyde of Indianapolis, IN., Peggy Harrell of Perry Ga., Becky Hooks of Adrian, Ga., Linda Roland of Ashford, AL.; brothers, William Cecil Campbell of Ocala, FL.; sister, Carol Hendricks of Owensboro, KY. 15 grandchildren and 19 plus great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 with Reverends W. C. Campbell and Donna Avera officiating.
Interment will be in the Corinth United Methodist Church Cemetery in Meeks.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Marty Phillips, Roger Hooks, Sr., Jeff Hulette, Rufus Harrell III, Roger Hooks, Jr., and Charles W. Roland.
