Sally Jane (Burroughs) Lawrence

Mrs. Sally Jane Lawrence, 73, of Twin City passed away Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Joseph’s/Candler in Savannah following an extended illness.

Mrs. Lawrence was born April 10, 1948, in Pekin, IL to the late Edward Harvey Burroughs and Virginia Elaine Weithe Burroughs. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Susan Jeffard. Mrs. Lawrence enjoyed reading and watching Western movies. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter, Tinslee. Mrs. Lawrence was a member of Stillmore Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Hudson Lawrence, Jr., of Twin City; sons, Robert Waremburg (Mari) of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Padgett (Dorothy) of Swainsboro; daughters, Virginia Lawrence (Lee Page) of Twin City, Tina Vincent of Waycross; brothers, George Owen Burroughs (Sandy) of Zion, IL, Johnny Burroughs of Rockford, IL; sisters, Pamela Padgett (Danny) of Baldwin, FL, Mary Jane Burroughs of Zion, IL; 3 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, September 5, 2021, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend George Archer officiating.

Interment will follow in the Stillmore City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, September 4, 2021, at Chapman Funeral Home.
