Sara Lynn Bedgood

Ms. Sara Lynn Bedgood, 74, of Swainsboro passed away Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Fairview Park Hospital following a brief illness.

Ms. Bedgood was born September 26, 1947, in Adrian to the late Claude Williams and Gladene Smith Williams. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Carol Fisher, Charlene Odom, Vonell Williams Braswell Pollette; nephew, Virgil Darrell Odom; niece, Sylvia Braswell.  Ms. Bedgood loved her job at Roto Rooter and especially working with Douglas.  She enjoyed doing yard work and spending time with the hunters from the Fox Pen.  She was always more concerned with others before herself.  Ms. Bedgood was a member of Poplar Springs Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stan and Anna Powell of Wrightsville; grandchildren, Garrett and Ella Powell; nephews and nieces, Allen Braswell, Amber Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Cherry Odom, Sandra Cranford (Bill); great-nieces and nephews, Emmett Stewart, Edmund Stewart, Emery Stewart, Teddy Braswell; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Poplar Springs Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Hardin officiating.

Interment will follow in Poplar Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Poplar Springs Methodist Church

Pallbearers will be John Webb, Douglas Overstreet, Bill Cranford, Garrett Powell, Lex Williams and Kevin Stewart.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Poplar Springs Methodist Church.
