Sara Medlock Faircloth

Mrs. Sara Medlock Faircloth, 84, of Twin City passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at her son’s residence in Mt. Vernon. She was born October 2, 1941, in Swainsboro to the late George Medlock and Nevada Beasley Medlock. Sara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Carl Faircloth; sister, Nell Patron; and brother, Henry Medlock.

She was raised with strong values and a deep understanding of hard work, lessons that shaped her character and guided her throughout her life. She began her career as a school secretary at ECI, where she was known for her reliability and warm spirit. She later worked as an administrative assistant for the Georgia Cooperative Extension Service. In each role, Sara demonstrated dedication, professionalism, and quiet strength. Sara and her husband, Carl built a life centered on love and family. Her greatest pride and joy were her children — her sons, Rick and Kevin, and her daughter, Trina. In time, she devoted herself fully to her home and family, embracing her role as a housewife with love and commitment. She was also blessed with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immense happiness. Sara Medlock Faircloth will be remembered for her hardworking nature, her devotion to her family, and the steady strength she carried throughout her life. Her legacy lives on in the family she loved so dearly.

Survivors include her sons, Rick Faircloth (Beverly) of Mt. Vernon, Kevin Faircloth (Carol) of Glenville; daughter, Trina Gibson of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Derek Faircloth (Chantele) Lauren Norton (Jacob), Kristopher Faircloth (Pam), Joseph Gibson; 8 great-grandchildren and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Twin City First Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Faircloth officiating, assisted by Dr. Stuart Moody.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The Pallbearers are Derek Faircloth, Joseph Gibson, Jacob Norton, Tommy Fincher, Jim Mercer, and Peyton Mercer.
