Sara Jane (Shepard) Williams

Mrs. Sara Jane Williams, 81, of Kite passed away Sunday, June 11, 2023, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Williams was born June 1, 1942, to the late Lewis Quin Shepard, Sr. and Sara Maude Shepard.  She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Betty Jane Bryant; brothers, John Benjamin Ward, Randolph Ward, Lewis Quin Shepard, Jr.  Mrs. Williams was a retired CNA.  She loved her church.  Mrs. Williams had a special love for children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a member of First Assembly of God in Wrightsville.

She is survived by her sons, Dennis Shephard of Harrison, Jerry Ricks of Gray; daughters, Debra Shepard, Tammy Scarboro, both of Harrison, Pam Ricks of Wrightsville; 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Daniels officiating.

Interment will follow at Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Kite.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are J. D. Barber, Joey Mason, Cameron Ricks, Jake Mason, Tyler Mason, and Bobby Wilkerson, Jr..
