Mrs. Sarah Scott Lamb, 85, of Swainsboro, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Emanuel County Nursing Home, following an extended illness. She was born February 10, 1940, in Swainsboro, to Robert & Gertie Scott. Mrs. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 57 years, Kerney Lamb; son, Jeff Lamb; brothers, Robert Scott, Jr. Wayne Scott, Harry Scott, Cecil Scott, and Bernard Scott.
Mrs. Sarah was a member of Oak Chapel Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, puzzles, antiquing, and caring for her family and friends. She was employed at Levin’s Department store and Western Sizzlin Restaurant for many years.
She is survived by her son, Keith Lamb (Kim) of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Chase Lamb of Cordele, Hilary Evans (Wilkes) of Bonaire; great grandchildren, Paisley Brown, Lawson Evans, and Logan Lamb; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Graveside Service will be held at 11:30 A.M. Saturday, March 15, 2025, Swainsboro City Cemetery with Reverend Tommy Henry officiating.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 15, 2025, at Durden Hudson Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, the family asked for donations to be made to the Swainsboro Gideon Camp, P.O. Box 365, Swainsboro, G.A. 30401 and, the Emanuel County Nursing Home’s Activity Fund, C/O EMC Nursing Home, 117 Kite Road, Swainsboro, GA 30401.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Emanuel County Nursing Home Nurses and Staff for their loving care of Mrs. Sarah.
The family would also like to thank PruittHealth Hospice for all of their wonderful care of their mother, Mrs. Sarah.
