Shane Wesley David

Mr. Shane Wesley David, 35, of Jacksonville, Fl. passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at his residence following a brief illness.

Mr. David was born September 16, 1986, in Jacksonville, Fl. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Curtis Smith; brother, Shannon David; step mother, Mary Nell David.

Survivors include his mother, Charlene David of Oak Park; father, Mark (Pam) David, Sr. of Oak Park; daughter, Dixie David of Swainsboro; step daughter, Kirsten Fortescue of Oak Park; step sons, Preston Jones, Pacey Fortescue both of Oak Park; sister, Angela McDaniel (Derrick Oglesby) of Oak Park; brothers, Mark David, Jr. (LaCosta) of Twin City, Shaune David of Swainsboro; maternal grandmother, Peggy Brown of Oak Park; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Marie Hooks of Oak Park; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Erick Hicks, Bill Coleman, Chris Smith, Joey Johnson, Charle Collins and Keith Cooper.
