Shirley (Marsh) Scarboro

Mrs. Shirley Marsh Scarboro, 83, of Swainsboro passed away on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Retirement Inn following an extended illness.

Mrs. Scarboro was born March 27, 1939, in Swainsboro to Forrest Marsh and Otha Lee Walker Marsh. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Clyde Scarboro. Cooking was her hobby and she loved being together with her family. Mrs. Scarboro served as President of GSFSA in 1981, a 1957 graduate of Swainsboro High School, and worked with the Emanuel County School System for 36 years in food services. She was a member of Blundale Baptist Church for over 60 years.

She is survived by her sons, Danny Scarboro (Rhonda) and Randy Scarboro, both of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Alan Scarboro, Zane Scarboro (Cayla), Zade Hullander (Jonathan), and Austin Scarboro (Amber), all of Swainsboro; greatgrandchildren, Jace Scarboro, Kaleigh Rae Scarboro, Loralee Scarboro; brothers, Jack Marsh (Rose Marie) of Nashville, TN, Ray Marsh of Fernandina Beach, FL; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Blundale Baptist Church with Pastor Shannon Boula officiating.

Interment will follow in Blundale Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Blundale Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Zane Scarboro, Austin Scarboro, Alan Scarboro, R. W. Hooks, Jonathan Hullander, and Mike Marsh.
