Shirley (Roberts) Williams

Mrs. Shirley Roberts Williams, 61, of Swainsboro passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022, at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Williams was born March 1, 1960, in Swainsboro to Theodore Roberts and Annie May Roberts.  She is preceded in death by her father, Theodore Roberts and sister, Anna Roberts.  Mrs. Williams was a member of St. Philip Baptist Church and former member of Community Baptist Church. She was a loving mother and devoted wife. Anyone who knew her would tell you she had a kind spirit. Her laugh was contagious, and she had a smile you could see from miles away. In her down time, you could find her studying her Bible, watching her favorite shows, or taking a trip to her favorite stores. She was always willing to lend a hand in anyway and made sure to check on all her family. Mrs. Williams will truly be missed, God has gained a humble servant.

Survivors include her husband of 32 years, Larry Williams of Swainsboro; mother, Annie May Roberts of Swainsboro; son, Leonard Howard (Shelia) of Savannah; daughters, Sierra Phillips and Jasmine Williams (Jason), both of Swainsboro; brothers, Alonzo Roberts, Sr. and Johnny Roberts, both of Swainsboro; sisters, Linda Williams (Willie) of Thompson, Sandra Brown (Billy) of Swainsboro; caregiver/cousin, Annette May of Swainsboro; 9 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers include Artis Kingsberry, Derrick Harper, Ricky Williams, Willie Williams, Billy Brown, and Jonathan Roberts.
