Sophia Neal

Ms. Sophia L. Samples Neal, 55, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, December 13, 2021, at Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.

Ms. Neal was born May 9, 1966, in Swainsboro to John C. Samples, Sr. and Jessie Dell Samples. She was preceded in death by her father; brother, John C. Samples, Jr.; sister, Linda Samples. Ms. Neal was a high school graduate, where she was involved in several sports, including tennis, basketball, and track. She enjoyed painting. Mrs. Neal was a member of St. James Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Sylvia Loren Neal of Vidalia, Taylor Armani Neal and April Jessica Neal, both of Swainsboro; mother, Jessie Dell Samples of Swainsboro; brothers, Jerome Samples of Macon, Christopher Samples (Roxanne) of Swainsboro; sisters, Mary Strobridge and Nancy Shimoyama, both of Swainsboro, Andrea Elliot (Steven) of Loganville; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Memorial Service will be private and at a later date.
