Stacey Casey Thomas

Mr. Stacey Casey Thomas, 52, of Savannah passed away Wednesday, September 13, 2022, at his residence.

Mr. Thomas was born February 11, 1970, at Talmadge Hospital in Augusta to Gladys Nell Thomas and Edward Gay. He was preceded in death by his father and grandmother, Callie Gardner. Mr. Thomas started working at a young age. He worked several jobs – J. Long, MAU Installation Supply, and Savannah Abatement. Mr. Thomas attended Jefferson County School. He married Tara on February 19, 2000. Mr. Thomas loved his family, music, and cooking.

He is survived by his loving mother, Gladys Thomas of Swainsboro; wife, Tara Lasha Thomas of Wrens; three sons, Stavian Thomas and Kevon Thomas, both of Wrens, Cayden Oliver of Augusta; one sister, Stephanie Thomas of Swainsboro; two nieces, Jasmine Thomas of Statesboro and ShaKira Thomas of Longs, SC; one nephew, JaRel Thomas of Eastman; one big brother, Tony Mitchell of Swainsboro; best friend, Gerry Harmon of Statesboro; second mother, Inez Sherrod of Wadley; special cousins, James Strowbridge of Statesboro, Tommie Lee Hill of Augusta, Cynthia Gardner of Bronx, NY; Godfather, Jim Johnson; and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022, in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home.

Interment will follow in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
