Steve Peebles

Mr. Steve Peebles, 69, of Adrian passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin following an extended illness.

Mr. Peebles was born September 30, 1953, in Swainsboro to Dorsey Peebles and Lue Virsey Webb Peebles.  He was preceded in death by his father.  Mr. Peebles was owner and operator of Peebles Tree Service for 25 years.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the mountains and gardening.  Mr. Peebles loved the Atlanta Braves and his favorite NFL player was Tom Brady.  He was one of the first 3 to graduate from Emanuel County Junior College.  Mr. Peebles was of the Baptist Faith, and he loved his Lord and Savior.

He is survived by his mother, Lue Virsey Peebles of Adrian; wife of 34 years, Sharon Peebles of Adrian; sons, Brian Dorsey Peebles (Mary) of Augusta, Kip Farthing (Melissa) of Canoochee; sister, Linda Peebles Renfroe Hutcheson of Adrian; granddaughters, Carla Womack (Olin), Carmon Lewis (Dustin), Mary Farthing; great-grandchildren, Jada Lewis, Jake Lewis, Raylin Womack, Mack Mills; nieces, Kriston Watkins (Robert), Lane Underwood (Jody) and other family members.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, May 27, 2023, in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Pastor David Oliver officiating.

Interment will follow in Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Bo Peebles, Roland Anderson, Tim Schaaf, Andy Webb, Jack Webb, and Dustin Simmons.
