Mrs. Sylvia Cowart Jordan, 69, of Twin City died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at the Emanuel County Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Jordan was born in Swainsboro and a life long residence of Emanuel County. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Allen Cowart and Eva Pearl Clifton Cowart. Mrs. Jordan's favorite past time was watching TV and she was an avid Georgia Tech Fan.
Survivors include her sons, Allen (Linda) Jordan of Swainsboro and Brad (Jayne) Jordan of Jacksonville Beach NC; sister, Betty (Johnny) Sutton of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Wesley Jordan and Zane Jordan of Twin City, Bethany Jordan of Jacksonville Beach NC, James Jordan and Tiffany Jordan of San Diego, CA; niece, Lisa Sutton of Jonesboro; nephew, Scott Sutton of Jonesboro.
Services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 10:00 o’clock Friday morning, June 22, 2012 with Reverend Franklin Sasser officiating. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Chapman Funeral Home.
