Mr. Tommy Durden, 76, of Twin City passed away Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Emanuel Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Durden was born September 19, 1940 in Twin City, Ga. to the late Pat Durden and Pauline Woods Durden. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Durden, and Buddy Durden; sister, Annette Riner. Mr. Durden was a member of Twin City Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Rosi Durden of Twin City; sons, Steve (Molly) Durden, Tim (Lori) Durden both of Statesboro, David (Kim) Kreiss of Twin City, Daniel (Mary) Fuller of Orlando, FL., and Christopher Hickman of Swainsboro; daughter, Denise (Terry) Collins of Carrollton; brothers, Randy Durden (Kathy Smith) of Swainsboro, and Mike (Myra) Durden of Fitzgerald; grandchildren, Michelle Durden, Chloe Durden, Caylee Durden, and T.J. Durden all of Statesboro, Trey Kreiss, Trent Kreiss, Anthony Kreiss, Emily Fuller, Chealsea Hickman, Chancie Archer, Michael (Brandy) Collins, and Amanda Collins; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2016 with Reverends Ray Braddy and Donna Jordan officiating.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Tal Wimberly, Ken Riner, Chris Collins, Bob Watson, Gene Kea, Henry Wilkerson, George Collins, Paul Williams, George Rountree, and Warren Ball.
Honorary Pallbearers are J. Tyson Stevens, and Employees of Emanuel County Maintenance Shop and Road Department.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm. to 3 pm. Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.
