Mr. Travis Dwayne Wilkerson, 54, of Swainsboro, passed away Saturday, February 21, 2026, at his residence. He was born on October 17, 1971, in Metter to Roy Thomas Wilkerson, Jr. and Myrtle Davis Braddy. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Caleb Dwayne Wilkerson.
Travis is survived by his wife of 34 years, Angie M. Wilkerson; son, Corey Wilkerson; daughters, Mandy Wilkerson (Kyle Jones), Caley Price (Chase); brothers, Dale Wilkerson (Karen), Sammy Braddy, Jr. (Angel) all of Swainsboro; sister, Tracy Hall (Jerry) of Kite; granddaughters, Aubrey Jones, Anna Jones; father and mother-in-law, David and Melba Mons of Millen; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Travis was a loving husband, father, brother, and devoted friend. He attended Summertown Elementary, Swainsboro High School, and Swainsboro Technical College. Travis worked at Howard Shepard Inc. for over 20 years driving a semi-truck. He was also the president of the Christian Motorcyclists Association for the past 4 years. Travis gave his life to the Lord several years ago and loved serving the Lord every chance he could. He married Angie Mons from Millen, Ga on July 27, 1991. Out of this union, Travis and Angie had 4 beautiful children. Mandy, Caleb (who went to be with the Lord only 17 days after his birth), Corey, and Caley. Travis was very devoted to his children. He helped his son Corey in go-kart racing and found themselves at the track every weekend for several years. Once his daughter Caley started playing softball, he devoted all his time to the softball fields cheering her on. Travis became a Peepaw on March 7, 2025, and was spoiling his granddaughters every chance he got. He will be remembered for his love for the Lord, love for his family and friends, and his joking and laughing spirit.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 11:00 in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverends Stephen Hammond and Tim Price officiating.
Interment will follow in Long Branch Church of God Cemetery with Mr. Stacey Everett officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Cody Hall, Dylan Hall, Eric Goddard, Nick Beasley, Roger Davis, Terry Lumley, Riley McKenzie and Bill Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Christian Motorcyclist Association.
The family will be gathering at the home of Mandy Wilkerson and Kyle Jones at 11 Perch Road, Swainsboro Ga 30401.
