Trenton Bishop Lewis

December 13, 1990 — December 7, 2022

Metter

Trenton Bishop Lewis, 31, of Metter passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville.

Trent was born in Statesboro to the late Timothy Pruitt and Missie Hadden on December 13, 1990. He was a 2009 graduate of Metter High School where he and his high school sweetheart, Malorie Lewis began their 17 year love story. The years following graduation were spent building a beautiful life together in Metter, GA. In 2013, he began working for Battle Lumber Company to provide for their growing family. Their story continued with the birth of their first daughter, Charlie Grace in 2013, followed by the birth of their second daughter, Pruitt Elizabeth in 2019.  He wore the title “Girl Dad” with pride and could be found most weekends grilling or taking his girls on buggy rides. Trent loved to have a good time, but loved his family even more.

Trent was a simple country boy who enjoyed hunting, fishing, going to the river, and cheering on the Auburn Tigers. During football season, you could hear him yelling “War Eagle!” for all of his Georgia supporting friends. Trent loved his country, “Merica”, as he would say. While wearing his red, white, & blue, Trent  stood up for what he believed. The life of the party and a jokester at heart, Trent had a ready smile to welcome old and new friends alike. While heaven gained a six foot five, beautiful angel with a goofy grin, our world has lost a great father, husband, son, brother, and friend, whose memory will always be treasured. Trent will be missed a little too much, a little too often, and a little bit more every day.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Timothy Bishop Pruitt; paternal grandparents, Bishop & Nellie Pruitt, Vivian & Delmer Fennell; maternal grandfathers, Robert Chapman, Johnny Ray Brinson. Survivors include his wife, Malorie Lewis of Metter; daughters, Charlie Grace Lewis and Pruitt Elizabeth Lewis, both of Metter; mother, Missie Hadden (Gene) of Swainsboro; father, Dan Lewis of Metter; sisters, Jessica Powell (Jarrod) of Twin City, Chasity Barnard (Jamie) of Swainsboro; brother, Dusty Lewis (Carmon) of Metter; maternal grandfather, Eugene Hadden of Oak Park; maternal grandmother, Judy Chapman of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 19, 2022, at Emanuel Christian Ministries with Reverend Jeffrey Barnard officiating.

Interment will follow in Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.
