Virginia Ambrosio Mendoza

Mrs. Virginia Ambrosio Mendoza, 75, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at her residence. She was born on September 9, 1950, in Oaxaca, Mexico to the late Angel Ambrosio and Dominga Mendoza. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Alfredo Ruiz Olivera.

Virginia will be remembered for her kind heart, gentle spirit, and the love she shared with those around her. She found joy in the simple blessings of life, especially spending time outdoors, planting flowers, caring for her chickens, and worshipping with her church family. Above all, Virginia treasured every moment spent with her family, who were the center of her life.

She is survived by her sons, Herminio Ruiz (Maria del Carmen Castano), Sotero Ruiz, Filadelfo Ruiz (Amalia Castano), Maximiana Ruiz (Maricela Castano); daughters, Lucina Ruiz, Isabel Ruiz, Juana Ruiz; 13 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 23, 2026, 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Angel officiating.

Interment will be at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Pallbearers will be family.
