Virginia Nell Ranker

Mrs. Virginia Nell Ranker, 82, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Ranker was born July 6, 1938 in Harold, TX. to the late Harold Arbuckle and Pearl Lucas Arbuckle. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Little; brother, Charles Arbuckle.  Mrs. Ranker met the love of her life in 1955 in Plainsboro, NJ. and was married on March 3, 1956.  She was the owner of Virginia’s Wholesale Florals from 1980 to 2004. Mrs. Ranker designs were in many magazines and sent throughout the U.S. and islands. She was also an artist who created many cherished oil paintings.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Harry Ranker of Swainsboro; daughter, Ann (Mark) Riverburg of Swainsboro; brother, Larry (Rita) Arbuckle of Jobstown, NJ; sister, Shirley Arbuckle of Midlothian, TX; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
