Mr. Warren “Cliff” Clifton Williams, 57, of Kite, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his sisters on Saturday, February 21, 2026, following an extended illness. He was born on August 28, 1968, in Metter to the late Bennie Sherril Williams and Margie Harvell Williams.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Williams; sister, Sherry Edenfield; maternal grandparents, Odell and Effie Harvell; paternal grandparents, Ocie and Warren Williams; brother-in-law, James Creech.
Cliff was a man who truly lived life with energy. He treasured his time spent with family and friends. In his free time, Cliff spent many hours in the garden and kitchen with his mother and sisters preparing farm to table meals. As a result, cooking and sharing pictures of his southern traditions passed down through several generations became his passion. He took pride in his ability to make the best fried “lacy cornbread.” He never missed an opportunity to crack a joke or tell one of his old-time stories, whatever it took to bring a smile to someone’s face
A hardworking and determined man, Cliff was never one to sit still. If something was broken, he was already on his way to fix it. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, always ready to serve others before himself. Known as a peacemaker, Cliff had a steady spirit and a positive outlook on life. He believed in finding the good in every situation and carried that mindset with him each day. He was able to find peace during his last days here on earth by making amends with all family and friends. Most importantly by receiving salvation.
Cliff is survived by his children, Tyler Prince of Kite, Justin and Crystal Williams of Stone Mountain; grandson, Kyler Phillips of Dublin; 3 sisters, Judy Riner, Brenda Creech, Trish Wheeler all of Kite; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 3:00 in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating, assisted by Reverend Lamar Kersey.
Interment will follow funeral services in Sardis Cemetery. To fulfill Cliff’s final wishes. We will be taking him for one last ride down Williams Road by his homefront prior to his interment.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Chris Williams, Bennie Williams, Kyle Edenfield, Dustin Edenfield, Tracy Lively, and Memphis Stevens.
The family will be gathering at the home of Brenda Creech, located at 78 Williams Rd. Kite, Georgia 31049. They would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to PruittHealth Hospice for the compassionate care and support shown to Cliff during his final days. In honor of Cliff’s life and the peace he has now found, the family kindly requests that those attending the funeral service wear bright colors as they celebrate his life.
