Wayne Marsh

Mr. Wayne Marsh, 69, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

Mr. Marsh was born September 13, 1950 in Kite to the late Alton Marsh and Eva Mae Walker Marsh. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Johnnie Mae Screws and Mable Knight. Mr. Marsh loved watching westerns and old T.V. shows like Andy Griffin and Bonanza. He enjoyed going to Saturday morning yard sales with his wife and his spare time was spent sitting under the pecan tree. Mr. Marsh was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sandra Marsh of Swainsboro; son, Dwayne (Eryka) Marsh of Ellabell; daughters, Cindy (Gregory) Chance, Cissy (Daon) Bethea, both of Stillmore; brother, Larry (Lois) Marsh of Sandersville; grandchildren, Rayvan Marsh, Rashon Marsh, Tyrone Carswell, Jr., Dayla Bethea, Daon Bethea, Jr. Destinee Marsh, Khaci Marsh; great-grandchildren, Hazel Marsh, Aspen Carswell; special niece, Carolyn McCoy; several other nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Graveside Service will be Friday, August 14, 2020, 11:00 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Reverend Brad McKenzie officiating.

The family will receive friends Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Chapman Funeral Home.

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing and service.

Pallbearers are Michael Thompson, Brad McCoy, Rashon Marsh, Milton Edenfield, Tyrone Carswell, Jr., and Robert Marsh.
