William Thomas Strange, Iii

Mr. William Thomas Strange, III, 83, of Midville passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Emanuel County Nursing Home in Swainsboro following an extended illness.

Mr. Strange was born July 27, 1939, to the late William Thomas Strange, II and Savannah Rowland Strange.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Judy Kimbrell; sister, Hilda Rigdon.  Mr. Strange loved to fish, coon hunt, travel and he loved people.  He was a very colorful character in a humorous way.  Mr. Strange liked to collect antique tractors.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Nancy Brinson Strange West of Sylvania; son, Kelly Newton (Rachel); daughters, Tammy Rose Strange of Sylvania, Teresa Sharon Strange Oglesby (David) of Midville; brother, Harry Strange of Florida; sisters, Mary Strange of Georgia, Joyce Bragg of Alabama; grandchildren, Ryan Mauney, Zane Oglesby, Sarah Grace Newton, Brody Newton; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, June 21, 2023 at Ellis Chapel Independent Methodist Church in Sylvania with Reverend Sonny Moon officiating.

Interment will follow in Ellis Chapel Independent Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 21,2023 at Ellis Chapel Methodist Church.

Pallbearers are Zane Oglesby, Ryan Mauney, Roger Evans, Chris Shaw, David Furby, Chris Furby, Harry Strange, and Jason Strange.

Honorary pallbearer is William T. Strange.

In leu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to be made to Ellis Chapel Independent Methodist Church C/O Rhonda Rhodes, 1226 Fred Chance Road, Perkins, Georgia 30442.
