Mr. William H. “Bill” Haskins, Jr., 73, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015 at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Haskins was born December 3, 1941 in Keokuk, Iowa to the late Williams H. Haskins, Sr. and Pauline Isabelle Rose Haskins. He was preceded in death by his sons, Scott Haskins and Danny Haskins; daughters, Gidget Haskins and Patty Krise; brother, Jerry Haskins. Mr. Haskins lived in Iowa until moving to Swainsboro 24 years ago to work with Keller Industries. After years of working with Keller Industries, he became employed with Vista Windows as a mechanic. He loved woodworking and making furniture.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley Hill Haskins of Swainsboro; sons, William (Renae) Haskins, III of Iowa City, Iowa; daughters, Zella Haskins of Muscatine Iowa and Vonda (Terry) Bohling of Perry GA; brothers, John Haskins and Mike Haskins both of Muscatine Iowa; sisters, Jane (Dennis) Poole and Sue (Jim) Hammon all of Muscatine Iowa; 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorial services will be private.
