Willie Morris Lockett, Jr.

Mr. Willie Morris Lockett, Jr., 51, of Louisville passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital in Louisville following a brief illness.

Mr. Lockett was born April 1, 1970, in Covena to Willie Morris Lockett, Sr. and Christine Davis Turner.

Survivors include his father, Willie (Alberta) Lockett, Sr. of Swainsboro; mother, Christine (Earl) Turner of Swainsboro; sons, Peyton Wheeler of Swainsboro, Kingston Lockett of Louisville; daughter, TaKeisha Jones of Dublin; step-children, Sakeithia (Ronald) Folsom, Anquilla Pass, LaCosha Jones, all of Dublin; brothers, Terry Bostic of Soperton, Calvin Lockett and Malachi (Alicia) Lockett, both of Swainsboro; sisters, Francis (Larry) Dick of Aiken SC, Monica Edmond of Raleigh, NC, Ashley Harris of Lyons, Louverne Lockett, Carol (Louthesz) Williams, and Stephanie Cheeks, all of Swainsboro; step-brother, Clifton (Ashley) Akins; step-sisters, Denise (Daniel) Branch, Dashawn Bond; 8 step-grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Swainsboro City Auditorium.

Interment will follow at Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Saturday, February 19, 2022, at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Lee Edmond, Rodney Cheeks, Jamie Cheeks, Larry Lockett, Reginald Willis, and Mario Thomas.
