Wylene Curl

August 5, 1940 — June 5, 2016

Ms. Wylene Curl, 75, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016 at her residence following an extended illness.

Ms. Curl was born August 5, 1940 in Swainsboro, Ga. to the late Raymond Curl and Bessie Tant Curl.  She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Jim Scott; brother, Jerry Curl; sister, Bertha McDowell; great-grandson, Toby Nathaniel. Ms. Curl was a lifelong resident of Emanuel County, she was a homemaker with a heart of gold, helping raise her siblings. Her door was always open to those in need. Ms. Curl was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include her sons, Ervin (Omie) Scott of Abbeville, Ga., and Pd Scott (Deborah Lawson) of Twin City; daughters, Brenda (Joseph) Yawn of Vidalia, and Deannie Amerson of Twin City; brother, Henry (Betty) Curl of Swainsboro; sisters, Ellen Jeter of Lebanon, TN., Dolly Newsome of Swainsboro, Eloise (Billy) Trull of Swainsboro, Cherry  (Johnny) Allen of Swainsboro, and Deborah Alford (Jody Logan) of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Joy Scott, Elon Scott, Leann (Jose) Santos, Jamie (Josh) Nielson, Julie Yawn, Stormy Scott (Jason Williams), Nikki (Vince) Brown, Adam (Jessica) Edenfield, Amber Amerson, P. Jack Sheppard, and Christopher McCoy; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 3:00 P.M.  Tuesday afternoon, June 7, 2016 with Evangelist Jeff Stark officiating. Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6pm. to 8pm. Monday evening, June 6, 2016 at Chapman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Billy Trull, Jr., Raymond Alford, Mike Newsome, Austin Trull, Roger McKenzie,Phillip Curl, Anthony Curl, and Randy Hood.
