Mrs. Yvonne H. Archer, 79, of Swainsboro passed away Sunday, September 27, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Archer was born November 20, 1935 in Reidsville to the late Jim Henry and Beann Hutcheson Henry. Mrs. Archer moved to Swainsboro in her teenage years where she met Mr. Franklin at a peanut boiling. She lived in Emanuel County after she and Mr. Franklin married. Mrs. Archer was a devoted care giver, taking care of others for 39 years at Archer Personal Care Home. She was always thinking about others and their needs. She would travel miles to give comfort to someone physically or spiritually. Mrs. Archer loved to sing gospel music with her singing group The GOSPEL ECHOES later known as The GOSPEL CARRIERS. She spent a lot of time reading and studying her Bible. She was a member of the Sunlight Inn and a charter member of the First Assembly of God.
Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Franklin Archer of Swainsboro; son, Randy (Sharon) Archer of Lebanon TN; daughters, Gayle Archer (Charlie) Coxwell of Swainsboro and Kathy Archer (John) Bracewell of Rentz; grandchildren, Joey Lamb of Swainsboro, Angie Lamb of Swaisnboro, Keila (Brad) Williford of Twin City, Nikkia (Russell) Mathis of Statesboro, Brandon (Racheal) Archer of Hampton, Dillan Archer of Lebanon TN, Maci (Bryson) Phillips of Lebanon TN and Boone Archer of Lebanon TN; great grandchildren, Zade-Anna Williford of Twin City, Zaren Williford of Twin City, Caroline Mathis of Statesboro, Marybeth Mathis of Statesboro, Drake Archer of Hampton and Elan Archer of Hampton; step grandchildren, Pamela (Joe) Bannister of Moultrie, John Braswell Jr. of Cordell, Josh (Devin) Coxwell of Twin City Charlie Coxwell of Statesboro and Ben (Meghan) Tapley of Augusta; step great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Braswell of Moultrie, Joleigh Coxwell of Twin City, Micah Coxwell of Twin City, Karley Coxwell of Statesboro, Cliff Bray of Milledgeville and Britney Bray of Swainsboro; several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home 3 P.M. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 with Reverends Donnie Daniels and Jamie Archer officiating.
Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Cemetery near Dellwood.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 29, 2015 at Chapman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers are Phillip Kersey, Raymond Kersey, Billy Ray Archer, Marvin Johnson, William Roberson, and Charles Stroud.
