Mrs. Alma M. King, 76, of Swainsboro passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. King was born February 27, 1944 in Chester, GA. to the late Arthur Lamar Williams and Annie Pearle Warner Williams. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Copeland; brothers, Jake Williams, Junior Williams, Pete Williams, Herbert Williams, Billy Williams; sister, Ruth Williams. Mrs. King was a CNA at Swainsboro and Wadley hospitals for years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. King loved her chickens, cats, gardening, and fishing. Her husband was her “everything”. Mrs. King was a member of Pentecostal Light House Church for 34 years.
Survivors include her husband, Don King of Swainsboro; sons, Terrell (Jodi) Colters and Jami Colter, both of Adrian, Arthur (Cissy) Copeland of Kite; daughters, Teresa (Larry) Ely and Lamanda (Stacey) Hendrix, both of Swainsboro; step-mother, Mary E. Williams of Swainsboro; brothers, Ray (Darlene) Williams of North Carolina, Bobby Williams of Swainsboro; sisters, Geneva Hall of Macon, Emily Miezek of South Carolina, Betty Hall of Swainsboro, Becky (Nathan) Rutherford and Barbara (Speck) Hall, both of Norristown; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Graveside Service will be Wednesday April 29, 2020 3 p.m. at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum with Reverends Chris Young and Donnie Young officiating
Visitation will be at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum Chapel from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.
In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during viewing.
