Anthony "Tony" Nunn

Mr. Anthony “Tony” Nunn, 58, of Swainsboro passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Emanuel Medical Center due to complications from Covid. 

Mr. Nunn was born September 25, 1962, in Augusta, GA to the late Ivy William Nunn and Shirley Glisson Ely.  He was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, H.B. Ely; brother, Jerry Nunn; step brothers, Howard Ely and Ronald Ely.  Mr. Nunn loved the Georgia Bulldogs, spending time at the lake, taking long buggy rides, and working in the yards.  He also enjoyed watching the hummingbirds and blue birds off the back porch and cuddling with his special fur babies.  He worked with the nuclear plants for over 30 years and was currently employed with PruittHealth in the maintenance department.  Mr. Nunn was a member of Oaky Grove Baptist Church. 

Survivors include: his wife Jana Fagler Nunn of Swainsboro; sons, Ty (Jami) Fagler of Midville, Todd (Amber) Fagler of Swainsboro; grandchildren, Brack Fagler, Brody Fagler, Brantley Fagler, Randon Durden, Emma Durden, Lani Fagler, Tyler Fagler; brother, Wayne Nunn of Atlanta; sisters, Joan (Steve) Achey, June Johnson, Mary Ann (Morris) Brantley, Sybil Wilkerson all of Swainsboro; half-sisters, Judy Jackson of Swainsboro, Barbara (Earl) Shirey of Adrian; step brother, Larry (Teresa) Ely of Swainsboro; step sisters, Faye (Donald) Hall, Debra (Charles) Hadden both of Swainsboro; beloved puppies, Panda, Boo Boo, Bella, Jazzy; several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

There will be an open visitation from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021.  Family will not be present during this time due to Covid safety. 

Private Graveside Service will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 10, 2021, with Dr. Tom Akins officiating.  Funeral services will be live streamed on Facebook on the Chapman Funeral Home Facebook Page.

Pallbearers will be his nephews.  

The family has requested no flowers or food.  Family asked for memorial contributions be made to Oakey Grove Church at 54 Oaky Grove Church Rd, Wrightsville, GA 31096.
