Mrs. Betty B. Fagler, 70, of Swainsboro died Thursday, December 23, 2010.
Mrs. Fagler was a native of Emanuel County and was preceded in death by her parents, J. E. “Baby” and Johnnie Hendrix Brown; husband, Cecil Fagler; brother, Billy Brown; and a step-son, Ted Fagler. She was Office Manager of Famous Credit, Swainsboro for many years, a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, Portal, GA, and was well known for her delicious cakes she baked.
Survivors include a son, Tony (Angela) Hicks, Garfield; a step-daughter, Bobbie (Dwight) Faircloth, Macon; grandchildren, Johnna, JC and Joshua Hicks, Garfield; daughter-in-law, Connie Fagler, Statesboro; brother, Bobby (Charlotta) Brown, Tampa, FL; sister, Bernice (Frank) McCullough, Nunez; sister-in-law, Pete Brown, Portal; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held in the Chapel of Chapman Funeral Home at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, December 28, with Pastor Ben Gay officiating. Burial will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, December 27 at Chapman Funeral Home, Swainsboro.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Brown, Joseph Brown, Stevie Brown, Shannon McCullough, Mark Brown, and Billy Hendrix.
