Ms. Betty Taylor, 79, of Kite passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Serenity Place-Hospice House in Dublin following an extended illness.
Ms. Taylor was born October 25, 1940 to the late George Taylor and Elizabeth Horton Taylor. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Lois Morris; brother, Jack Taylor; nephew, Eddie Taylor. Ms. Taylor was employed as a seamstress at Apparel Brands in Wrightsville. She loved to color and go fishing. Ms. Taylor enjoyed the simple life, spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Survivors include her nephews, Dale (Angela) Taylor of Wrightsville, Dennis (Melinda) Averett of Kite, Spencer Taylor of Sylva, NC, Butch (Shannon) Willis of Statesboro, Jeremy Taylor of Milledgeville; nieces, Donna Turner of Wrightsville, Toni Blount of Dublin, brother; Billy (Tammy) Taylor of Kite; several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, March 8, 2020 at 3 p.m. Kite Church of God with Reverend Allen Meeks officiating.
Interment will follow in the Kite City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 2 to 3 p.m. at Kite Church of God.
Pallbearers are Dale Taylor, Dennis Averett, Spencer Taylor, Derek Averett, Butch Willis, Nathan Garnto and Tim Prescott.
