Carl Faircloth Obituary

Mr. Carl Faircloth, 82, of Twin City passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness.

 

Mr. Faircloth was born April 25, 1938 in Swainsboro to the late Luther Faircloth and Lucinda “Cindy” Moxley Faircloth. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Sally Hendrix and Opal Fincher. Mr. Faircloth loved his family and enjoyed running up and down the road supporting their activities. He spent most of his career with the post office going to work at 2:30 in the morning so he could be off in time to follow the kids around and watch them play baseball. (His kids and anyone else’s!) When he was at home, he enjoyed working outside in the yard and riding around on his lawnmower. Mr. Faircloth was a member of Twin City First Baptist Church for 47 years where he was a Deacon.

 

Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Sara Faircloth of Twin City; daughter, Trina Gibson of Twin City; sons, Rick (Beverly) Faircloth of Mt. Vernon and Kevin Faircloth of Reidsville; grandchildren, Derek (Chantele) Faircloth of Knoxville, TN., Lauren (Jacob) Norton of Richmond Hill, Kristopher Faircloth of Eastman, Joseph (Lauren) Gibson of Grovetown; great-grandchildren, Emma Kitchens, Levi Kitchens, Gideon Faircloth, Kylin Norton, Eva Norton, Kennedy Norton; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

 

Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Twin City First Baptist Church with Reverend Dr. Bill Perry officiating.

 

Interment will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, December 21, 2020 at Twin City First Baptist Church.

 

Pallbearers are Athen Walden, Glenn Way, Phillip Rehberg, John Sanders, Jack Mincey, Loran Williamson, Jim Mercer and Cliff Mason.

 

Honorary Pallbearers are Wayne Greenway, Tim Campbell, Bobby Mason, and Greg Johnson.

 

In compliance with the guidelines set by the CDC, 6 feet rule will be enforced during visitation and service.
